After leaving school in Scotland, Hilary trained as a physiotherapist in Manchester and went on to work as a physiotherapist for 30 years in London.
After experiencing the restorative effects of craniosacral therapy when recovering from a period of ill health , which affected her physical and latterly her mental wellbeing, Hilary decided to train as a craniosacral therapist.
She qualified as a Craniosacral Therapist over 13 years ago and works with people of many ages with a wide range of health issues. For 3 years she was a tutor with the craniosacal therapy educational trust teaching clinic , teaching and supervising final year students.
Hilary has met and worked with many people with life limiting illnesses in a hospice setting, offering the opportunity to relax and feel supported by the therapy. For the last 4 years she has led a team of skilled volunteer complementary therapists at Marie Curie.
Hilary has her own practice and clients find craniosacral therapy to be helpful in relieving pain that can be recent or more long term . The impact of the symptoms on physical and mental wellbeing are often eased.
She finds unsettled babies respond well to the gentle therapy.
Her work is offered mostly in Worcestershire , at The Fold ,Bransford. She can offer treatments in London and on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border, near Bromyard.
Alongside her craniosacral work she works with Marie Curie Hospice providing psychological support to those who are bereaved.
